Role Description
We are now expanding our institutional partnerships across Latin America, and we are looking for someone to lead that growth with universities, hospitals, and clinics in the region.
You will own a territory of medical schools and healthcare institutions in Latin America, being responsible for turning enthusiasm for AMBOSS into institutional partnerships. This is a consultative, relationship-driven B2B sales role:
-
Identify the right institutions.
-
Understand what their faculty and deans actually need.
-
Show how AMBOSS can address it.
-
Guide each partnership from first conversation to signed agreement and successful launch.
What you will do:
-
Build the territory plan.
-
Map universities and hospitals in LATAM that do not yet offer AMBOSS to their students or staff, prioritise them with your team, and work the pipeline systematically.
-
Open doors and run discovery.
-
Engage active student users, faculty champions, and decision-makers (deans, academic directors, heads of education), and run needs analyses to understand their goals, exam results, curriculum, and budget realities.
-
Present and persuade.
-
Create and deliver tailored presentations and demos that connect AMBOSS to each institutionβs specific priorities, and handle objections with confidence.
-
Close and launch.
-
Lead negotiations through to signed agreements, then hand over cleanly to Customer Success so that implementation and roll-out are a success.
-
Grow accounts with data.
-
Work with our Data and Sales Operations teams to analyse usage data, prove impact to partners, and identify expansion opportunities.
-
Be the voice of the region.
-
Act as the interface between institutions and our Customer Success, Sales Operations, Product, and Marketing teams, and bring market insight back to the company.
-
Represent AMBOSS.
-
Plan campus events and projects, attend conferences, and actively network to build brand awareness in the region.
Qualifications
-
You are a licensed medical doctor from a Latin American country.
-
Account-management experience with a demonstrable track record of closing deals.
-
Spanish at native level and fluent English (our internal working language is English).
-
Consultative communication skills: you listen first, ask good questions, and can present confidently to senior academic and clinical audiences.
-
Ownership and structure: you work independently, manage several parallel projects, and keep a clean pipeline and calendar without being asked.
-
Willingness to travel across the Latin American region (roughly [25β40]% of your time) and to spend time on campuses with students and faculty.
-
Genuine enthusiasm for digital solutions in medical education and clinical practice.
Nice-to-have
-
Experience selling into universities, hospitals, or healthcare systems in LATAM, or knowledge of how academic purchasing decisions are made.
-
Familiarity with the exam landscape in the region (e.g. ENARM, licensing and residency exams) and with curricular accreditation standards.
-
Experience in a start-up or fast-growing tech company.
-
Portuguese.
Benefits
-
Work with a large international team with a lot of experience.
-
Shape the future of AMBOSS.
-
Be part of a diverse and inclusive environment.
