Role Description

The Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC) is seeking a Canadian-based, Project Engagement and Membership Relations Coordinator to join our dynamic national team advancing low-carbon smart mobility technologies and strengthening collaboration with Members and project partners.

Approximately 50% of the role will focus on project coordination, stakeholder engagement and business development for NAVIGATE, a new shuttle and mobility initiative supporting the Province of Ontario’s Destination Niagara investments and economic growth strategy. The remaining 50% will focus on membership engagement, retention, committee coordination and the delivery of membership benefits. These proportions may evolve as the project and membership base grow.

This position is well suited to an experienced, organized, proactive and relationship-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating activities, working with diverse stakeholders and keeping multiple priorities on track. The successful candidate will bring sound judgment, attention to detail and a professional approach to working with clients, project partners, Members and internal teams.

Qualifications

• A university degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline.
• Typically, at least 7 years of relevant professional experience demonstrating maturity, judgment, initiative and strong organizational capabilities.
• Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Commitment to lifelong learning, professional development and adapting to evolving tools, practices and organizational needs.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, competing demands and deadlines while maintaining quality and follow-through.
• A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solution-builder approach.
• Professional, confident communication with Members, clients, project partners and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a geographically distributed team.
• Experience with HubSpot and Smartsheet would be an asset.
• Interest in transportation innovation, sustainability and CUTRIC’s mission.

Requirements

• Support the recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention of project partners in the Niagara Region.
• Maintain accurate project records, deliverables, stakeholder information and engagement data in Smartsheet and HubSpot.
• Assist with budget and expenditure tracking, expense documentation and the preparation of reports required for Government of Ontario project funding.
• Coordinate member onboarding and orientation, support member needs, and help ensure Members can access CUTRIC’s resources, benefits, events and engagement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate membership records, directories and contact lists in HubSpot.
• Assist with preparing proposals, presentations, Scopes of Work (SOWs) and sponsorship materials.
• Support the planning and administration of CUTRIC’s member committee meetings.
• Help organize virtual and in-person meetings, webinars and member events.
• Track event participation, feedback and other engagement metrics.
• Perform other related coordination, membership development, business development and administrative duties as required.
