Role Description
The Federal Work-Study Assistant plays a key role in supporting Reach Universityβs enrollment, outreach, and partnership-development efforts. This student-facing and externally facing role supports prospective candidates and employer partners through outreach events, information sessions, application support, data tracking, and market research. The position is ideal for a student who is organized, personable, and interested in education, marketing, outreach, data analysis, or nonprofit growth strategy.

Requirements

Admissions & Application Review
-
Perform initial reviews of submitted candidate applications for completeness and accuracy, verifying required materials and documentation.

Conduct regular, proactive follow-up with prospective candidates via email, phone, or text to guide them through missing application items, answer questions, and assist them through the enrollment funnel.

Help monitor application progression to ensure applicants meet key deadlines for registration and enrollment.

Candidate Outreach & Representation

Attend prospective candidate information sessions (virtual and in-person) to share personal experience with Reach programs and answer participant questions.

Represent Reach University at job fairs, community events, and partner-hosted events.

Serve as a welcoming, knowledgeable point of contact for prospective students and community members.

Event & Outreach Support

Support event logistics, including registration tracking, materials preparation, set-up and breakdown, and follow-up communications.

Assist Growth team staff with scheduling, coordination, and documentation related to outreach activities.

Data Entry & Record Keeping

Enter and maintain accurate records related to event attendance, prospective candidates, and employer outreach in internal systems (e.g., CRM, spreadsheets).

Support data hygiene efforts, including reviewing records for completeness and accuracy.

Marketing & Research Support

Assist with developing and updating marketing materials, including slide decks, one-pagers, email drafts, and social media content.

Conduct market research related to prospective employer partners (e.g., school districts, charter networks, county offices of education).

Support basic data analysis projects related to enrollment trends, geographic reach, or partner engagement, as appropriate to skill level.

Additional Growth Team Support

Provide general administrative and project support to the Growth team as needed.

Participate in team meetings, trainings, and feedback sessions to build professional skills and institutional knowledge.
Benefits

Pay Rate: $25 per hour, up to 10 hours/week.
