Role Description
The Contract Administrator assists the UHS Managed Care/Payer Relations team in meeting UHS Managed Care business objectives in coordination with external and internal stakeholders. Supports all UHS Physician Operations’ markets under Independence Physician Management (IPM). Responsibilities include:

Analyzing language and rates of IPM Managed Care payer agreements.

Performing contract and rate maintenance utilizing IPM’s SharePoint database and DashboardMD database.

Working with the IPM Revenue Cycle team to assist with inquiries and resolve payer contract performance issues.

Maintaining the IPM Managed Care SharePoint site, including requests for access.

Entering and maintaining contract files of existing and new IPM contracts to ensure all SharePoint data is current.

Ensuring contract metadata is accurate, complete, and the current executed version is available.

Serving as the first point of contact to work closely with the IPM Revenue Cycle team, IPM Market Managers, and other internal departments.

Researching discrepancies between contractual terms and operational/payment practices.

Monitoring key payer bulletins for physician contract “Policy & Procedures” compliance.

Coordinating the internal signature process for all IPM contractual and supporting documents.

Verifying key information such as provider/entity names, effective dates, locations, TIN(s), and NPI(s).

Preparing, routing, and tracking all IPM Fee for Service, Value Base Compensation, and Delegated Credentialing contracts.

Confirming that contracts are fully executed before they are considered effective.

Attending and participating in all IPM Market Transition and Acquisition/Due Diligence Calls.

Supporting the Director of Managed Care and Regional Director/Manager of Payer Strategies including special projects.

Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum of 10+ years of experience.

Minimum education requirement of High School Graduate/Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Extensive knowledge of and experience with Managed Care contracts on behalf of physician groups.

Excellent organization, analytic, prioritization, and communication skills.

Proficient in using desktop resources such as Excel, Word, and PDF files.

Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix environment.

Minimal travel may be required.
