[Hiring] Business Development Manager @ICEYE

Role Description

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll bridge the gap between ICEYE’s world-leading ISR satellite capability and the people who use space-based geospatial intelligence at the sharp end of Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) defence and national security. You will open doors, build credibility, and ensure the ANZ’s most important intelligence users understand what makes ICEYE genuinely different.

From day one, you'll own the full sales cycle for Data Sales business clients:

• Identifying opportunities
• Shaping deals
• Closing multi-year contracts

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the ANZ Data Sales team
• Building and maintaining a trusted network of Intelligence and GEOINT practitioners across ANZ defence, intelligence, and other industries
• Advising internal ICEYE teams on how ANZ military and intelligence users consume intelligence imagery
• Identifying key decision-influencers across ANZ target organisations
• Participating in ANZ military exercises that incorporate ICEYE capability
• Maintaining strong CRM discipline and providing clear market intelligence
• Producing responses to RFPs, proposals, and assisting with promotional material

Qualifications

• An established personal network within the ANZ geospatial community at the working and mid-senior level
• 5+ years of strategic sales or enterprise business development experience in the aerospace, defence, space, ISR, earth observation, or related government technology sector
• Proven experience selling to ANZ government, defence, or public sector organisations
• Strong understanding of earth observation, ISR, or satellite-based capabilities, ideally including SAR
• Proven ability to run complex sales cycles
• Willingness to travel as required, primarily across the ANZ region and to Europe

Requirements

• Currently serving as a reservist, or recently transitioned from active duty within the last five years
• Familiarity with SAR (and other ISR) geospatial satellite products
• Experience using Salesforce or another CRM
• Sales training in Miller Heiman, Korn Ferry, Shipley, or a similar methodology
• Holds current ANZ Defence Security Clearance
