[Hiring] Account Manager @Compose.ly

Role Description

As an Account Manager at Compose.ly, you are the main point of contact for a portfolio of ~25 clients, from early-stage startups to enterprise brands. You own the relationship, the client experience, and the delivery plan, and you partner with your pod to execute SEO, content, and performance marketing work.

Responsibilities:

• Client relationships and strategy:
  • Build a deep understanding of each client's business, goals, and audience, and bring that context to the pod.
  • Partner with your SEO strategist and specialists to shape each client's plan across SEO, GEO, content, and paid media.
  • Run monthly check-ins and quarterly account reviews that show results, ROI, and next steps to stakeholders.
  • Lead renewal conversations with clients, starting conversations well before contract ends.
  • Spot risks to the relationship early and handle sensitive conversations diplomatically.
  • Identify opportunities to expand an account and scope upsells or SOW adjustments.
• Delivery and project management:
  • Own client onboarding from kickoff through first reporting cycle.
  • Manage timelines, scope, and priorities across multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Run the pod's projects in the Compose.ly platform and Asana.
  • Keep client records accurate in HubSpot.
• Reporting and client enablement:
  • Own delivery of tiered reporting, from lightweight monthly updates to executive and board-level decks.
  • Translate performance data into business impact and lead training sessions.
  • Turn our processes and tools into materials clients can use on their own.
  • Bring evolving AI practices into client work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of account management or client services experience at a marketing agency.
• Working knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
• Comfort reading marketing performance data.
• Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines in a project management tool such as Asana.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Familiarity with paid media, GEO or AI search, or web development projects.
• Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM.
• Experience building Asana automations, templates, or intake forms.
