Role Description
We are looking for a Managed IT Content Editor with a deep understanding of MSP operations, cybersecurity, IT compliance, cloud computing, and IT support services. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in content strategy, SEO, and technical editing, ensuring our content is highly authoritative, data-driven, and tailored to MSPs and IT decision-makers (CIOs, IT Directors, CTOs).
- Edit, refine, and fact-check technical content to ensure accuracy, industry relevance, and readability.
- Develop and manage content frameworks for Managed IT, cybersecurity, and cloud computing topics.
- Optimize content for EEAT, long-tail keywords, and IT-specific search queries to enhance search rankings.
- Oversee high-value content like whitepapers, reports, and case studies that position the company as an authority in the MSP space.
- Ensure all content adheres to industry standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, CMMC).
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), technical writers, and designers to create engaging IT-focused content.
- Monitor content KPIs and optimize based on engagement, traffic, and conversion data.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in content writing/editing, specifically within Managed IT, IT support, MSPs, cybersecurity, or cloud services.
- Deep understanding of MSP operations, cybersecurity frameworks (SIEM, Zero Trust, MDR, XDR), and IT compliance.
- Proven track record of SEO-optimized IT content that ranks and converts.
- Strong grasp of RMM, NOC, ITIL frameworks, cloud security, endpoint protection, and IT infrastructure management.
- Exceptional editing skills with the ability to transform generic content into industry-specific thought leadership material.
- Experience working with AI-driven content tools, automation in ITSM, and emerging IT trends.
- Strong analytical mindset – able to measure content effectiveness and optimize accordingly.
- Ability to mentor junior writers and ensure consistent editorial quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in MSP marketing, IT services consulting, or cybersecurity content marketing.
- Familiarity with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn content strategy for IT thought leadership.
- Previous experience managing a content team in the tech or MSP industry.
