Role Description

As a Senior Travel Manager on the After Hours Support Team, you will play a vital leadership role in delivering exceptional travel experiences for VIP corporate clients outside of standard business hours. This position combines operational leadership, coaching, and high-level travel expertise to ensure seamless service delivery during evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts. You’ll serve as a key resource for consultants and offshore teams while supporting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and premium client service. Key Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentorship for novice Travel Managers and act as an on-shift buddy when assigned.
• Coordinate and support helper coverage during shifts, particularly on weekends.
• Post regular Taskmaster updates in designated Teams channels.
• Serve as Email Captain as assigned and monitor Emailgistics folders.
• Approve team breaks, lunches, and HOPs.
• Monitor call and email dashboards to drive productivity and service efficiency.
• Proactively check in with team members and address workflow challenges.
• Respond to questions from consultants and offshore support teams.
• Manage leadership escalations related to active customer service issues.
• Engage senior leadership when urgent business issues arise.
• Adjust schedules and coordinate coverage for team callouts.
• Send urgent alerts when emergency staffing coverage is required.
• Monitor significant I.T. disruptions and escalate operationally impactful issues.
• Utilize Sabre GDS, NDC solutions, and web-based booking platforms to arrange accurate VIP corporate travel reservations.
• Deliver high-touch, white-glove service to executive-level and high-value travelers.
• Support operational initiatives and special projects as assigned.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an After Hours Travel Manager within Corporate Traveler.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and training experience.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience using Sabre GDS.
• Experience working with NDC and web-based travel booking platforms.
• Proven ability to support VIP, executive-level, or high-value corporate travelers.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling escalations.
• Flexibility to work a 40-hour schedule that may include weekends, overnights, holidays, and varying shift patterns.
• Reliable, high-speed internet connectivity required to support core job responsibilities, including but not limited to video conferencing, access to company systems, and secure handling of company data.
