Role Description

Senior Consultant (Applications Consultant) (full-time; multiple openings) needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to:

• Design, develop, enhance, customize, and integrate software applications.
• Coordinate efforts of lower-level team members while guiding them in the process.
• Gather and analyze client requirements and design and develop computer systems.
• Analyze existing applications to identify required performance and response time improvements.
• Identify operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications.
• Develop systems requirements and implement systems strategy.
• Perform impact analysis of any code or design changes.
• Create data models, workflow designs, and integration approaches.
• Install necessary software and customize software to clients’ unique requirements.
• Responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package-based solutions.
• Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
• Resolve issues to ensure delivery of project.
• Coordinate with application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business, Engineering (any), Math, Information Technology, or related field.
• Plus two (2) years of IT experience.
• Must have one (1) year of IT work experience using one of the following skill sets:
  • Java, Jira, and Jenkins;
  • PL/SQL Developer, Snowflake, and Unix Shell Scripting;
  • Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle; OR
  • Unix, PL/SQL, and Linux.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), three (3) years of post-secondary study in any field, plus three (3) years of IT experience will be accepted.

Requirements

• Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs.
• International travel not required.
• Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths.
• Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.
