Role Description

The Service and Support Division is designed to increase productivity and efficiency for our customers and is experiencing rapid growth. As a Services Business Consultant: West, you will be a key contributor to Agilent Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group (LSAG) service sales team. In this critical sales role, you will utilize your sales expertise and technical knowledge of the Pharmaceutical, Chemical Analysis, and other industries to sell high-value services and support solutions.

• Partner with local account managers and customer service resources to develop new business for underdeveloped mid-sized Agilent clients.
• Utilize excellent sales track record to develop and implement a successful new business sales strategy.
• Maximize sales volume, establish relationships at multiple levels within customers, and gain market share against the competition.

Responsibilities include:

• Opportunity management, including creation of a growth plan and development of local competitive knowledge.
• Identifying new business opportunities within the Agilent and competitive account base.
• Leading deal planning and driving account penetration for all support solutions.
• Working creatively with customers to develop laboratory solutions and services.
• Networking with executives within accounts to foster business growth opportunities.
• Collaborating closely with other field sales, service delivery, and business organizations to develop account plans for strategic accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors, master's or other university degree or equivalent, preferably in science and/or business.
• 1+ years of direct sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success in solutions sales; 3+ years preferred.
• Ability to translate the value proposition of service as a financial and operational benefit.
• Strong business development, sales negotiating, and sales closing skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
• Outstanding presentation, planning, and organizational skills.
• High-level knowledge of instrument support services business.
• Demonstrated successful project management experience.
• Leadership and team player within a cross-functional global matrix environment.
• Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation preferred.
• Able to interface comfortably at high levels within the customer management structure.
• Must be available for up to 75% business travel.
• Based in the Western regions of the US.

Requirements

• This job has a full-time weekly schedule with the option to work remotely.

• Eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.
• Full-time equivalent pay range: $117,968.00 - $220,500.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.
• Pay ranges determined by role, level, and location.
• Individual pay determined by work location and additional factors.
• Travel Required: 50% of the Time.
• Shift: Day.
• Duration: No End Date.
• Job Function: Sales.
