Role Description
The Sr. Regional Business Director will deliver budgeted sales and profit objectives by leading Amcor's growth-centric relationship with a portfolio of existing and targeted customers. This role is the owner and “quarterback/captain” for the Amcor cross-functional and value-based relationship and partnership with every customer in the assigned area. Key responsibilities include coordinating, managing, and guiding commercial team performance in the Closures, Bottles, & Specialties market. Responsible for overall sales budget attainment for the segment.

Strategic Sales Leadership:
Lead and execute the U.S. commercial strategy for the segment, ensuring alignment with Amcor’s long‑term growth priorities, product roadmap, and market positioning. Identify and activate new revenue streams, emerging market opportunities, and competitive advantages.

Revenue growth:
Drive overall sales performance to achieve revenue targets, focusing on new customer acquisition, expansion within existing accounts, and reducing churn. Represent Amcor at both regional and national Industry trade show events within segment.

Customer relationships:
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, prospects, and equipment partners. Serve as an escalation point for high-value or strategic accounts and resolving channel conflicts.

Leadership & Talent Development:
Cultivate a high‑performance, accountable commercial culture. Coach, mentor, and develop team members to elevate capability, strengthen succession pipelines, and ensure consistent execution across the sales organization. Provide strategic support during complex negotiations and customer engagements.

Negotiate Customer Contract Agreements:
Work closely with Sales Operations, Contracts, and Legal teams to reach mutually accepted contract terms that protect Amcor and maintain or strengthen the customer relationship.

Pipeline management:
Oversee the progression and management of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring that opportunities are progressing and properly tracked and updated within the CRM system.

Process optimization:
Continuously refine and optimize sales processes across the segment to accelerate the sales cycle, improve win rates, and enhance commercial effectiveness.

Go-to-Market collaboration:
Work closely with Product Line Management, Product Development, Customer Care teams to ensure go-to-market alignment, delivering compelling messaging, and improved capacity/capability within the combined Segment.

Forecasting & reporting:
Provide accurate sales forecasts, regular reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and progress toward revenue goals to Senior Leadership. Analyze trends, identify risks early, and implement corrective actions to ensure delivery of revenue and profitability commitments.

Market insights:
Stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and market developments to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or applicable technical field.

Experience: Required 10 years of progressive sales experience in packaging industry and technology (e.g. injection molding, extrusion, etc.).

5-7 years of Sales Management experience, including direct leadership of multi‑level commercial teams and responsibility for regional or national revenue performance.

Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional commercial initiatives and managing high‑value customer portfolios.
