Role Description

LANXESS UK is now recruiting a Sales Manager to work remotely covering UK & Ireland!

We are looking for a new Sales Manager to join the UK team. Responsible for the full range of products within the BU (mainly Acids, Cresols, Polyols and Metallic Catalysts) covering a number of markets (including coatings and resins, Crop Science, pharma, fuel additives) nationally across the UK and Ireland region.

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager (UK / Ire) your key responsibilities are to support, maintain and grow the market share in the UK based on developing market and application knowledge and relationships with all key parties.

Main Responsibilities

• Managing existing and developing new customers
• Staying alert and informed to all market developments and translating into potentials
• Developing close relationships with the existing and potential marketplace giving the business unit the edge over our competition

Qualifications

• The applications and chemistry can be learnt, the personality and ability to communicate with a variety of people at a range of hierarchy cannot.
• Experience of direct customer relationship management, negotiating and communicating both internally and externally
• Experience in any of the relevant markets is essential, to understand the nuances and interconnection of our chemical industry.
