[Hiring] Sales Development Representative @Slang AI

Role Description

As a Sales Development Representative at Slang AI, you’ll be at the very front end of our growth engine: the person who first opens the door for our sales team to transform the way restaurants serve their guests. Day to day, your work lives in the outbound motion:

• Researching restaurant operators who fit our Ideal Customer Profile
• Crafting compelling cold emails and LinkedIn messages
• Picking up the phone to start real conversations with decision-makers

You’ll work closely with your hiring manager and Account Executives, handing off warm, well-qualified opportunities and collaborating with Marketing on campaigns and messaging. This role reports to the regional Sales Director, a hands-on coach invested in your growth who runs weekly team trainings and 1:1 sessions where you’ll dissect calls, iterate on sequences, and celebrate wins together. This is a fully remote role within the U.S., with occasional travel for team offsites, company events, and key industry conferences. You’ll use HubSpot and AI tools that sharpen your prospecting and personalization.

Qualifications

• Experience in outbound sales, cold calling, or SDR/BDR work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A competitive nature grounded in curiosity

• AI fluency
• Humility and an appetite for feedback
• Preferred: experience in SaaS, hospitality technology, or selling to restaurant operators

Requirements

• You proactively identify and research restaurant operators that match our Ideal Customer Profile
• You execute with daily discipline: 100+ outbound touchpoints per day and 5+ new prospects added to pipeline
• You consistently set 40+ qualified appointments per month (3+ locations)
• You use active listening and smart questioning in your outreach
• You collaborate openly with your AEs and the Marketing team
• You use AI tools and your own creativity to continuously test and improve your outreach sequences
• You track your own funnel metrics with precision

Compensation & Location

• Base Compensation: $70,000 (minimum and maximum)
• Variable Compensation: $24,000, uncapped commission
• On-Target Earnings (OTE): $94,000
• Equity: Included in offer package
