Role Description

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the overall sales efforts of Intellum. The VP of Sales will:

  • Develop the sales team and sales methodology
  • Recruit, hire, and train new sales representatives on the sales process
  • Manage the overall sales forecast with your representatives, stakeholders, and executives
  • Coach and develop your direct reports with strategies to drive deal closure
  • Track the performance of the sales team and develop strategies to continuously improve sales performance

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, development and execution support to the Sales Team to surpass revenue targets
  • Assist in closing complex transactions and be willing to get into the trenches with the team
  • Coach Account Executives and Business Development Reps in all phases of the selling process to achieve agreed-upon targets and performance metrics
  • Develop and implement best practices to maximize pipeline creation, customer conversion rates, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success and Business Development to accelerate sales cycles, generate new sales opportunities, and drive revenue through multiple channels
  • Foster a culture of progressive personal development and mentoring of the Intellum Sales team
  • Ensure operational excellence in the day-to-day management of the business, including, but not limited to forecasting, pipeline development, training, hiring, performance management, collaboration, teamwork, and best practice sharing
  • Initiate, develop and maintain executive level relationships and support sales activities with key customers
  • Understand target customer’s business needs, develop proposals and accurately articulate Intellum’s value proposition at the executive level

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of SaaS/software sales and sales experience
  • Track record of stability and tenure in multiple organizations
  • Proven success scaling out a sales team with success selling SaaS and cloud solutions in the industry
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously increase effectiveness of team, recognizing opportunities for creating new systems, structures, and processes
  • Strong knowledge of CRM (Salesforce preferred), reporting and dashboards and highly process-oriented
  • Demonstrated experience building a collaborative environment between Sales, Marketing, Product and Finance
  • Strong executive presence - experience and comfort level working with C-level executives
  • Background in the e-Learning industry heavily preferred, but not required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
