Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise software modernization and implementation initiative. This role requires a hands-on project leader with a proven track record managing complex, multi-year software implementation, upgrade, or conversion projects using Waterfall SDLC methodologies. The ideal candidate will:

• Drive project execution across IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Manage risks and dependencies.
• Maintain resource-loaded project plans.
• Ensure successful delivery from initiation through implementation and closeout.

Candidates should have experience leading large, enterprise-wide technology projects involving third-party vendors, system integrations, and organizational change. Strong skills in:

• Stakeholder management.
• Executive communication.
• Issue resolution.
• Vendor accountability.
• Decision facilitation.

GIS project experience is a plus, but candidates with successful experience delivering complex enterprise software implementations or conversions will also be considered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience (10+ preferred).
• Proven success delivering large-scale software implementation or conversion projects.
• Strong Waterfall SDLC, risk management, scope management, and executive reporting experience.
• Experience managing vendors, consulting partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Ability to work independently, drive accountability, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Work in Central Time Zone business hours.
