Role Description

• Review SSA disability claims and supporting psychological/medical evidence.
• Prepare accurate, policy-compliant psychological assessments.
• Complete assigned cases within required turnaround times.
• Participate in required SSA training and quality-review activities.

Qualifications

• Doctoral-level psychology qualification for psychologists; medical degree for psychiatrists.
• Active license in the state where they practice for psychiatrists.
• Licensed or certified for independent practice in the state where they practice for psychologists.
• Psychologists must meet the applicable SSA qualification pathway, including qualifying doctoral education or National Register requirements.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with or supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) is required.
• Experience reviewing SSA disability claims, psychological evidence, or disability determinations is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SSA disability programs, policies, and case review processes.
• Strong psychological case review and documentation skills.
• Ability to complete accurate assessments within required timelines.
