[Hiring] Behavioral Health Medical Director @Wellbe Senior Medical

Role Description

The Geriatric Psychiatrist supports the overall Social Services and Behavioral Health (SSBH) Department, participates with SSBH leadership on clinical program development and clinical educational needs for WellBe as a whole. In addition, the geriatric psychiatrist will work with the entire WellBe team of clinicians through consultation, as well as individual patients as identified. The geriatric psychiatrist advises the primary care provider on appropriate medications and other treatment strategies, also providing the care team with educational support on diagnosing and managing behavioral health conditions.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Psychiatry residency training program
• Current and valid state medical license required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in psychiatry
• Preferred: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
• Have a valid driver’s license, have access to a car and willingness to drive to patient homes/patient location as well as an active auto insurance policy
• EHR medical documentation experience
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent bedside manner and time management skills

• Ability to drive to patient locations (ie. home, hospital, SNF, etc)
• Fine motor skills
• Visual acuity
• Ability to travel to patient locations as needed
• Schedule will be 4 hour long blocks 5 days each week
