Role Description

Our client is seeking a full-time Medical Records Reviewer / Clinical Summary Proofreader with a background as a Registered Nurse (RN) or medically trained physician. In this role, you will serve as the primary clinical quality control gatekeeper, auditing, editing, and distilling AI- and vendor-generated medical summaries against raw hospital records.

• Review and cross-reference automated summaries against original medical charts, diagnostic imaging reports, and hospital records to ensure clinical and factual accuracy.
• Condense lengthy reports (frequently 40–50+ pages) into high-impact clinical summaries suitable for legal review.
• Strip out non-essential documentation filler to elevate core findings.
• Tailor clinical content to the specific medical expert reviewing the file based on established clinical guidelines.
• Ingest, download, and extract multifaceted medical record files from multiple hospital networks and clinics.
• Merge, bookmark, and organize disparate electronic health records into unified, structured master PDFs per case file.
• Upload and route prepared case records into AI systems and summarization portals.
• Balance document preparation with active proofreading workflows during high-volume influxes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license or a formal medical degree (Physician / MD / MBBS background).
• Proven ability to discern clinically significant pathology, mechanism of injury, and diagnostic findings from routine baseline data.
• Exceptional attention to detail; an instinct for catching subtle errors, omissions, or misattributions that could affect legal proceedings.
• Advanced professional written English with strong editorial and medical synthesis skills.
• High comfort level working with large PDF files, digital document management tools, and cloud storage systems.
• Dedicated availability to work full-time with consistent daily overlap during US Pacific Time (California) business hours.

Requirements

• Prior professional experience in medical-legal consulting, personal injury chart review, Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), or medical chronology preparation.
• Direct experience reviewing, auditing, and fact-checking AI-generated medical drafts or clinical transcription outputs.
• Clinical exposure to orthopedics, neurology, physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R), or life care planning.
