[Hiring] Social Media & Content Manager @KittySpout

Role Description

KittySpout / DoggySpout is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team! You will own organic social for both brands end to end across every social channel. You decide what each account is for, who it should bring in and what content grows it. Then you plan it, create it, publish it every day and adjust based on what the numbers tell you. This isn't a role for keeping the lights on: we want someone who will transform our socials and turn them into a super-engaged community that people actually want to be part of.

You report to our Influencers & Partnerships Manager and have a designer for bigger creative pieces, but the thinking is yours and you're strong on graphics and short-form video yourself.

The mission of this role:

• Own organic social for KittySpout and DoggySpout end to end across all social media channels.
• Success is accounts that keep growing and reach people who have never heard of us, with content created and published every day that grows an active, engaged community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years running organic social for a DTC or consumer brand.
• Experience in personally creating and publishing content.
• Ability to show accounts grown and numbers moved.
• Native-level written English.
• Hands-on Organic Social experience.
• Multi-brand, Multi-platform experience.
• Design skills using Canva, Figma or similar.
• Ability to write hooks that stop the scroll and shoot and edit short-form video.
• Trend spotting skills on TikTok and Instagram.
• Data-driven mindset.
• Excellent cultural fit as per company values.
• Excited to play a big role in scaling the company and work closely with the founder.

Requirements

• Overlapping time zone with the US and Canada.
• No issue working overtime or on weekends if needed.
• Bonus points: pet, home or wellness brand experience; working with creators or UGC.

Accountabilities

• Content strategy and calendar – Own the organic content strategy for both brands, plan next week's calendar per brand and platform, and get it approved with the Influencers & Partnerships Manager.
• Create and publish daily – Write hooks and captions, shoot and edit short-form video, design day-to-day graphics and stories.
• Creator content – Review and repurpose creator and UGC content for organic posts.
• Community – Reply to all comments and DMs within 24 hours, keep the Facebook group active, and engage with tagged mentions.
• Planning and reporting – Deliver a performance report every Monday, set organic social KPI targets, and join the weekly team meeting.

Salary Expectation

USD $3,000 – $4,500 per month (based on experience and expertise).
