[Hiring] Senior Manager, Website Optimization & SEO @10x Genomics

Role Description

The Sr. Manager, Website Optimization & SEO owns how 10xgenomics.com performs as a marketing asset. This role reports to the Director, Global Digital Marketing and is accountable for:

• The technical health of the site as seen by search engines and AI answer engines.
• Our organic visibility across traditional search and AI-driven discovery.
• The conversion performance of the pages that matter most to our pipeline and e-commerce business.

This is an audit, analytics, and influence role, not a content or coding role. You will find the issues, prioritize them, make the case, and track them to resolution with the web engineering team, the web product team, and the content team. You will not write the content or ship the code, but you will be the reason both get better.

The website is owned technically by our web engineering team and its product roadmap is led by web product management. You will be digital marketing's voice in that partnership, bringing the marketing lens on search, site health, and conversion, and making sure those priorities are represented, measured, and delivered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SEO, website optimization, or digital marketing with direct ownership of a B2B website's organic and conversion performance.
• Hands-on experience with technical SEO auditing and remediation on enterprise-scale or multi-region websites.
• Experience leading conversion optimization or experimentation programs, in partnership with product and engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Requirements

• Technical SEO depth: Hands-on expertise diagnosing and prioritizing technical SEO issues on large, complex B2B websites.
• AEO fluency: Working understanding of how AI answer engines discover, cite, and summarize web content.
• Conversion optimization: Experience running or leading conversion analysis and A/B or multivariate testing programs.
• Analytics: Strong command of GA4 (or equivalent), Google Search Console, crawling tools, and testing platforms.
• Influence without authority: Track record of driving change through teams you do not manage.
• Communication: Able to explain technical findings to marketers and business impact to engineers.
• Prioritization: Comfortable saying what matters most and what can wait, and defending that call with evidence.
