Role Description
We're looking for an independent contractor Creative Strategist to own the creative pipeline for our bass advertising on Meta.
-
Work with our Head of Growth and our media buyers, editors, bass instructors, artists, and UGC creators.
-
Consistently develop and ship new ad creative, learn from what performs, and turn those insights into better concepts.
-
Own ideas from initial research and scripting through production, editing, and launch.
-
Depending on the concept, your work could include:
-
Keeping enough new creative in the pipeline that we always have something new to test.
-
Analyzing ad-level performance and using those findings to develop the next batch of concepts.
-
Developing new creative angles and iterating on proven winners.
-
Writing scripts from the initial idea through to a production-ready brief.
-
Finding, hiring, briefing, and managing UGC creators and bass artists.
-
Briefing editors and owning concepts through to live-ready creative.
-
Shooting and rough-cutting some concepts yourself.
-
Staying close to how bass players actually talk about learning, practicing, and progressing through social media, comments, reviews, and online communities.
Qualifications
-
Play bass at an intermediate level or above, with a solid understanding of music theory.
-
Deeply familiar with bass content on social media and understand what's currently working.
-
Strong interest in marketing, advertising, and creative strategy.
-
Proactive and hands-on; able to find a way to move concepts forward when blocked.
-
Highly output-driven and comfortable being measured on the amount and quality of creative shipped.
-
Comfortable working with performance data and using it to guide creative decisions.
-
Comfortable appearing on camera when needed (this is a plus, but not a requirement).
Requirements
-
Consistently shipping a strong volume of new concepts each month.
-
Increasing share of our bass ad spend running against creative you've developed.
-
Improving creative hit rate against our cost-per-trial target.

-
Your resume or portfolio.
-
Examples of your previous work as a creative strategist, particularly any paid social creative that you developed and/or appeared in.
