Role Description

This position is for a development, environmental, land use and zoning attorney with a minimum of three years of experience. Specifically, we are seeking an individual who is licensed in California and has worked with CEQA, the CEC, and development in general in California.

• Development work, including land use and zoning work, representing developers and builders at the local government, state, and federal level.
• Environmental legal work, including ESA, NEPA, Corps, and other subjects.
• Experience in administrative law, representing clients in quasi-judicial hearings and administrative legal challenges.
• Assisting developers and environmental service experts throughout the licensing and permitting process for large infrastructure projects, particularly wind and solar projects.
• Handling compliance and enforcement issues for the company.

The position can be based at our office in San Francisco or there is a possibility of work from home, with reporting to the San Francisco office, depending on the circumstance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in development, environmental, land use, and zoning law.
• Licensed in California.
• Experience with CEQA and CEC.

Requirements

• Experience representing developers and builders at various government levels.
• Knowledge of environmental legal frameworks such as ESA and NEPA.
• Experience in administrative law and quasi-judicial hearings.
