[Hiring] Attorney Development Manager @Sterlington, PLLC

Role Description

As the firm scales, our associates need people management, feedback that helps them grow, and a real sense of belonging. You'll own attorney development from the ground up. You'll build the feedback cadence, development programs, and sense of community that turns associates into long-term, fully utilized members of the firm.

Success at six months looks like associates who feel part of something bigger, are receiving real and consistent feedback, and are growing, reflected in stronger utilization. From there, the ambition grows: measurably better associate engagement and the launch of programs to enhance our attorneys’ experience at Sterlington.

You'll join the People Team and work closely with firm leadership.

Qualifications

• A legal or attorney-development background.
• Strong L&D program design skills.
• Real coaching and mentoring experience.
• Working knowledge of US employment law.
• A data-driven streak.
• Excellent English communication.
• Americas time zone, ideally ET.
• The right temperament.

Requirements

• Ideally, you've done this work inside a law firm or legal tech environment.
• This role calls for judgment rather than years served.
• You know how to build training grounded in adult learning theory.
• Ideally, you've been a people manager before.
• Comfortable pulling together utilization and performance data.
• Written and verbal communication needs to be a strength.
• People who thrive here don't wait to be told what to do.
• Comfort with ambiguity is table stakes, and being AI-forward and tech-savvy is essential.
