Role Description
We’re hiring our first in-house Commercial Counsel to help Pogo scale our commercial contracting and build the foundations of our legal function.

Partner closely with our GTM team to negotiate agreements with some of the world’s largest companies.

Own commercial contracting end-to-end, including:

MSAs
-
Order Forms
-
DPAs
-
NDAs
-
Vendor and partnership agreements
-
Partner with GTM to get complex enterprise deals across the finish line while balancing risk, speed, and commercial reality.

Build templates, playbooks, workflows, and automations that help Pogo scale.

Support broader legal matters across:

Privacy
-
Product
-
Data
-
Employment
-
Corporate
-
Insurance
-
Compliance
-
IP
-
Disputes
-
Take increasing ownership of Pogo’s legal function as we grow.
Qualifications

4–8 years of legal experience, ideally combining strong law firm training with in-house experience at a high-growth technology company.

JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the US.

Significant experience independently negotiating complex enterprise technology, SaaS, and data agreements.

Excellent legal and commercial judgment — knows what matters, what doesn't, and when to escalate.

Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and provide practical, actionable recommendations.

Comfortable in front of customers, representing Pogo confidently in negotiations.

Thrives with ownership and ambiguity, enjoys building systems rather than waiting for established processes.

Excited to use AI and automation to build a modern legal function.
Requirements

Experience with privacy/data/product counseling, legal ops and automation, or broader matters across employment, corporate, insurance, compliance, and IP (bonus).
