[Hiring] Municipal Housing Associate @Best Best & Krieger LLP

Role Description

Our busy and rapidly growing municipal housing practice is seeking an associate attorney with two to five years of housing and real estate experience. This individual will work on all aspects of transactional housing work from the local government and affiliated entity perspective, including:

• Affordable housing
• Ground leases
• Joint ventures
• Federally-funded loan documents
• Multi-family permanent supportive housing management agreements
• Construction contracts
• Purchase and sale agreements
• Federal funding requirements
• Entitlement
• General real estate work involved in commercial lending
• Development, acquisitions, and dispositions of real property

Substantive legal experience in some or all of the following areas is highly desirable:

• Housing tax credits
• Public housing redevelopment
• HUD programs
• Real estate closing on large commercial transactions
• Title policy and survey review
• Local government procurement requirements

Candidates may be based in any of our California offices and must be admitted to practice in California.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of housing and real estate experience
• Substantive legal experience in relevant areas
• Admitted to practice in California

Requirements

• Experience in transactional housing work
• Ability to work on complex, multi-disciplinary issues

Benefits

• Salary range: $125,000 - $185,000, depending on experience
