Role Description

The Assurant Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience where interns do not sit on the sidelines. You will gain real-world experience by tackling business challenges and helping drive meaningful outcomes. The program combines hands-on work with learning and development opportunities, mentorship, networking and engagement opportunities, and resources designed to support your professional growth.

As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Work on meaningful projects focused on driving our culture and continually improving the support and experiences of our employees and leaders
• Gain exposure to Employee Relations and HR People Partner teams
• Analyze employee feedback and workforce data to uncover insights
• Collaborate with experienced HR professionals and business leaders
• Help improve processes, resources, and experiences
• Explore emerging HR technologies, digital enablement, and AI-powered solutions
• Present recommendations and ideas that can influence real business outcomes

You'll leave with practical experience, professional connections, and a deeper understanding of how leading organizations create great employee experiences while delivering business results.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field. Graduating between December 2027 - May 2028
• Demonstrated interest in HR, employee experience, or process improvement
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools
• Strong curiosity, a proactive learning mindset, and a problem-solving approach
• Analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to organize and simplify complex information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• A collaborative, team-oriented, and people-centered approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Requirements

• Experience with process mapping tools, such as Visio
• Exposure to HR processes, employee relations, or employment practices
• Interest in HR technology, automation, or AI-driven solutions
• Experience summarizing data and creating visual insights
