[Hiring] Payroll Officer @Public Sector Resourcing

Role Description

On behalf of Homes England, we are looking for a Payroll Administrator (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract, working on a Remote basis.

As a Payroll Administrator, your main responsibilities would be to:

• Process end-to-end monthly payroll and pension payroll activities.
• Maintain payroll accuracy through data validation and reconciliations.
• Administer payroll changes, deductions, statutory payments and benefits.
• Produce payroll reports, RTI submissions and BACS payment files.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension and employment legislation.
• Resolve complex payroll queries and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing, from onboarding to RTI submission.
• Strong payroll, pensions and HMRC compliance knowledge.
• Proven payroll reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Accurate and detail-focused in high-volume environments.
• Confident managing statutory payments and deductions.
• Advanced Excel skills with excellent deadline management.
• Handle complex tax queries with discretion and confidentiality.

Requirements

• CIPP - Ideally but would take experience over qualification.
• Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
