Role Description

The Healthcare Recruitment Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, screening, and supporting the selection of qualified candidates for MECA Therapies’ maternal health, early intervention, home visiting, Community Health Worker (CHW), and children’s outpatient clinic programs. This position partners closely with MMT, program directors, and Human Resources to build strong candidate pipelines for therapy, care coordination, CHW, operational, and clinical roles that support New Mexico families across home, community, and clinic-based service settings.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with candidates, hiring managers, and community partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, job boards, email, and virtual meeting tools.
• Experience coordinating with staffing agencies, recruitment vendors, or contract staffing partners preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel for recruiting events or site visits.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive candidate and employee information appropriately.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain organized records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Four or more years of recruiting, human resources, healthcare staffing, customer service, sales, outreach, or related experience preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with Human Resources, MMT and Regional Directors to understand staffing needs, role requirements, licensure or credential expectations, hiring priorities, and labor market conditions.
• Develop and implement recruiting strategies to identify qualified candidates for various roles.
• Write, update, and post job advertisements that accurately reflect MECA Therapies’ mission and role expectations.
• Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, professional networks, and community partners.
• Screen applications and resumes to assess qualifications and alignment with program needs.
• Conduct initial phone or virtual interviews and provide timely recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate interviews and support a positive candidate experience.
• Represent MECA Therapies at job fairs and community events.
• Maintain knowledge of recruitment trends and challenges.
• Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable laws and company policies.

Staffing Agency Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of coordination for approved staffing agencies and contract recruitment vendors.
• Build and maintain working relationships with staffing partners.
• Communicate role requirements and compliance needs to agency partners.
• Review agency-submitted candidates and forward recommendations to leadership.
• Track agency submissions and candidate status using recruitment documentation tools.
• Coordinate with leadership regarding agency use and staffing needs.
• Ensure staffing agency communication remains confidential and organized.

Recruitment Documentation and Tracking

• Maintain clear, timely, and organized documentation throughout the recruitment process.
• Track candidate records, sourcing efforts, and recruitment activity.
• Monitor recruiting metrics and identify hiring barriers.
• Ensure documentation is complete and maintained according to company procedures.

Professional Development

The Healthcare Recruitment Specialist will comply with all mandatory training identified by their respective supervisor(s) and/or MECA Therapies.

Quality Assurance

The Healthcare Recruitment Specialist is expected to model professionalism, responsiveness, integrity, collaboration, and respect in all interactions.

Supervision & Mentorship

The Healthcare Recruitment Specialist will receive general supervision from the Human Resources Department and the Executive team.
