Role Description
A leading church-focused website builder company is in search of a skilled Web Designer. As a Web Designer in this pivotal role, you'll have the chance to seamlessly merge technical competence with creative proficiency to craft visually captivating and highly functional websites.
- Utilize expertise in WordPress to design, develop, and maintain websites tailored to the unique needs of churches.
- Customize themes and plugins to align with clients' visions and requirements.
- Apply CSS skills to enhance the visual appeal and user experience of websites.
- Implement custom styles, layouts, and animations to create modern and responsive designs.
- Collaborate with the graphic design team to seamlessly integrate visual elements like logos and banners into website layouts.
- Ensure consistency in branding and aesthetics across all web pages.
- Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide guidance based on best practices in web design and user experience.
- Maintain open communication to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure websites function flawlessly across devices and browsers.
- Address any issues promptly to deliver high-quality end products.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in WordPress and CSS is required.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous web design projects; experience in working with churches is preferred but not required.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, understanding their needs and translating them into functional design solutions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
- Continual learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
- Access to a reliable laptop or desktop computer with necessary software for web design tasks.
- High-speed internet connection for remote collaboration and project management.
- Familiarity with web development tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma is a plus.
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and experience with frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation is an advantage, but is not required.
