[Hiring] User Researcher @CI&T

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced User Researcher to join our Strategy & Foundations team, embedded in a strategic product program for one of the world's leading dealership management software providers. You will conduct research across the full discovery runway - from generative fieldwork and stakeholder interviews through to evaluative usability testing on live prototypes. Your findings will feed directly into the service blueprint, inform product prioritisation, and give strategy leads the evidence they need to make confident investment decisions.

You'll go beyond gathering and presenting research findings. You'll translate insights into actionable recommendations, influence decision-making across multidisciplinary teams, and work closely with Service Designers and Product Managers to ensure research informs product and service direction. You'll collaborate regularly with stakeholders and customers across the UK and US.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute continuous discovery research, including customer interviews, stakeholder interviews, contextual fieldwork, and context mapping.
• Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability testing on prototypes to identify friction before build begins.
• Synthesize qualitative data into clear, prioritized recommendations for the Service Designer and product leadership.
• Define user personas, experience metrics, and customer journey insight frameworks.
• Manage research logistics end-to-end, including participant recruitment, discussion guides, and insight documentation.
• Present findings to non-research audiences, including senior stakeholders, in a way that builds advocacy and supports decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a User Researcher, with a track record of both generative and evaluative research in complex product environments.
• Strong qualitative research skills - experienced in designing and leading in-depth interviews, contextual enquiry, and diary studies.
• Experience with usability testing methodologies, both moderated and unmoderated.
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of qualitative data into clear, actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills - able to present research findings persuasively to non-research audiences, including senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative working style, with experience embedded in cross-functional teams alongside designers, product managers, and strategy leads.

Nice to Have

• Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or operationally complex product environments.
• Familiarity with automotive retail, dealership operations, or related service industries.
• Proficiency with Dovetail, UserTesting, Figma, Miro, or Confluence.
• Knowledge of quantitative research methods to complement qualitative practice.
• Experience contributing to or directly informing product roadmap prioritization.
