Role Description

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the future of our broker partner dashboard and internal operations tools. You'll tackle exciting challenges, collaborate with talented colleagues, and improve the design quality of our products.

  • Own the design process:
    • Lead the end-to-end design for complex web and mobile applications, from user research and discovery to pixel-perfect execution.
  • Champion user needs:
    • Deeply understand our diverse user base (global broker partners, internal users) and advocate for their needs throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Shape our design system:
    • Support efforts to create and maintain a cohesive design system that scales across Alpaca’s product ecosystem.
  • Collaborate effectively:
    • Work closely with product managers, engineers, partner success teams, internal operations teams, and fellow designers to bring innovative solutions to life.
  • Execute proactively:
    • Balance multiple projects and feature launches while consistently raising design quality.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of launching complex operations management tools in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about understanding user needs through user research and translating them into intuitive and engaging experiences.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, remote environment and excel at communicating design decisions effectively.
  • Experience designing intuitive operational tools and designing meaningful metrics and analytics that empower users to make informed decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Solid understanding of working with APIs, how designs are implemented by engineering, and make use of tools to streamline development handoff.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a startup environment for B2B fintech, SaaS, medical/pharma, logistics, manufacturing, or operational tooling-focused products.
