Role Description

Your role involves:

Identifying and executing borrow and loan opportunities across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, ETFs) using both manual and automated trading strategies.
Leveraging Python and SQL to streamline daily tasks, develop analytical tools, and automate data-driven decisions.
Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to optimize data pipelines, trading systems, operational efficiency, and risk controls.
Monitoring outstanding loans, recalls, and rates to optimize risk and profitability.
Building relationships with borrowers, lenders, custodians, and firm client partners.
Assessing and managing counterparty, credit, and market risk while staying informed of market developments and regulatory changes.
Working with existing and new securities lending vendors on product development solutions.
Contributing to creating automated workflow solutions for securities lending trading and operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field.
0–2 years of experience in a technical or trading role, ideally with some exposure to securities lending, short selling or related experience.
Proficient in Python and SQL.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with core financial instruments (equities, fixed income, ETFs) and general market mechanics.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across teams.
High initiative and eagerness to learn about securities lending, product development, and advanced trading concepts.
