[Hiring] Art Director @CNX

Role Description

As Art Director, you own the visual craft and creative judgment that Orbit's automation cannot produce on its own. You set creative direction, lead the human-led steps of the production workflow, and are accountable for the brand fidelity and executional quality of everything that carries a client's name. You are client-facing: presenting work, defending creative rationale, and building trust with senior marketing and brand stakeholders at global enterprise brands.

You are a maker and a director with strong personal design craft, a trained eye for composition and type, and the ability to run AI-generated output through expert correction to meet enterprise standards. You use AI tools as a core part of how you work, as leverage, not as a substitute for judgment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of art direction or senior design experience, ideally in B2B, agency, or embedded team environments serving enterprise brands.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on creative production and art direction across digital and print.
• Demonstrated command of typography, composition, color, and brand systems.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma; working proficiency in Canva.
• Practical experience using generative AI in professional design work.
• Proven client-facing experience: presenting creative, defending rationale, and navigating senior stakeholder feedback.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Firm command of brand voice and the ability to interpret and apply brand guidelines.
• A self-starter who works well autonomously and within a team.
• Discipline across type, color accuracy, asset naming, version control, and production readiness.
