[Hiring] Grants Payments Data Analyst @Worldwide Clinical Trials

Role Description

Play a key role in shaping the forecasting and reporting processes that support clinical site payments across global studies. As a Grants Payments Data Analyst, you will help develop and own forecasting models that complement Medidata Payments, ensuring accurate, compliant, and client-ready financial insights.

Your work will help drive informed decision-making, improve forecast accuracy, and support the financial management of clinical trial programs. You’ll have the opportunity to influence processes, identify improvements, and contribute to the development of a robust end-to-end forecasting framework that supports both internal stakeholders and sponsor reporting requirements.

This is a REMOTE role open to candidates based in Europe (Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania) or LATAM (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil). You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones. No travel is required for this role.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Central Planning and Clinical Operations teams to collect and analyze site and patient enrollment actuals and forecasts.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve forecasting models used outside of Medidata Payments.
• Integrate forecasting data and processes with Medidata Payments forecasts to support a comprehensive financial outlook.
• Partner with Revenue Recognition teams to ensure forecasting activities align with audit and financial reporting requirements.
• Create accurate, client-ready forecast deliverables in accordance with sponsor contractual requirements.
• Analyze forecast performance by evaluating plan-versus-actual results and identifying budget variances.
• Communicate over-forecast and under-forecast risks to Project Analysts and Global Project Leads, supporting timely corrective actions.
• Support audit activities, change order processes, and study closeout reconciliations while ensuring compliance with applicable revenue recognition requirements.
• Prepare final forecasting and reconciliation reports for client delivery and project review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of finance experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and accounting systems.
• Understanding of clinical site payment processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and work collaboratively across functions.
• Experience supporting financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, or reconciliation activities.
• Proficiency in English.
