[Hiring] Business Development Representative @Certara

Role Description

Drive growth in the APAC market as a Business Development Representative. Collaborating closely with the Sales Team, you will:

• Prospect assigned accounts and qualify opportunities.
• Hand off qualified leads to Account Executives or close deals within your territory.
• Understand Certara's services and software, the pharmaceutical industry landscape, and customer needs.
• Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-driven with exceptional attention to detail.
• Create outstanding prospect experiences.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and surpass assigned monthly sales quotas and Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) targets.
• Exceed daily and weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for prospecting activities.
• Proactively engage with clients in the field, meticulously documenting all interactions (phone and email outreach).
• Collaborate with the APAC commercial team to support marketing campaigns and activities.
• Rigorous Qualification: Evaluate prospects against established criteria, ensuring alignment with sales organization standards.
• Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with both prospects and existing customers.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to support Account Executives in meeting their quotas.
• Drive closure of sales opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Gather and communicate market intelligence to management, contributing to the enhancement of offerings and communication strategies for diverse market needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a life science-related discipline.
• Proven track record of success in lead generation and/or business development.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Lead Generation Representative, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
• 3-5 years of sales or business development experience in the Life Science industry, preferably within the drug development field.
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to accurately capture all prospect interaction notes in Salesforce.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-energy team environment.
• Capable of effectively communicating value propositions for software and services to identify opportunities.
• Ability to contribute to bookings pipeline forecasts for Account Executives and close sales opportunities.
• Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
