[Hiring] Business Development Representative @Maxima

Role Description

You will be the first conversation most of our customers ever have with Maxima. As a Business Development Representative, you will find the finance leaders who should know about us, earn their attention, and build a healthy, predictable pipeline for our Account Executives, working across cold calls, email, and social, with AI tools making the prospecting sharper and faster. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product, and learn from a seasoned sales team and leadership with deep enterprise and fintech experience.

It suits someone motivated, curious, and organized who wants a real foundation in enterprise SaaS sales and a clear path toward Account Executive or other go-to-market roles. If you come from accounting or audit and want to move into sales, you already speak the customer's language, and we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Identify and engage potential customers through cold calls, email, and social channels, and use AI tools to make prospecting more efficient.
• Run discovery to understand a prospect's needs, pain points, and fit for Maxima.
• Work with Account Executives on a smooth handoff and progression of qualified leads.
• Stay current on accounting automation, AI, and the CFO technology landscape to sharpen targeting.
• Partner with Marketing on outbound campaigns, events, and targeted programs.
• Test new messaging, tools, and approaches, and share what converts.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years in business development, sales development, or a related sales role, preferably in SaaS or technology; or accounting or audit experience and a plan to move into sales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you can explain complex ideas clearly and confidently.
• Highly organized, with strong time management and follow-up.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment.
• Curiosity about AI, automation, and the future of finance.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn from experienced go-to-market professionals.

Nice to have

• Experience with CRM and sales engagement tools such as Salesforce, Amplemarket, Sales Navigator, or Nooks.
• CPA or Big Four experience.
