Role Description

This is a remote position. Our client is looking for a Part-Time Business Development Representative to lead front-line outreach to B2B prospects, identify qualified opportunities, and schedule meetings for the sales team. They operate within the specialized healthcare and personalized medicine space and, in recent years, have continued advancing access to modern genetic testing and clinical genetic support designed to enable more individualized care.

The ideal candidate is proactive, confident, personable, and comfortable initiating conversations with new prospects by phone and other outbound channels. This person should bring a highly professional presence to phone and video conversations, strong written and spoken English, and a data-driven approach to prospecting, activity tracking, and results.

• Research prospective B2B accounts and contacts that align with the company's target customer profile.
• Develop and maintain organized lead lists to support ongoing outbound sales initiatives.
• Conduct cold outbound outreach to prospective business clients, with a strong emphasis on phone-based prospecting.
• Introduce the company's services clearly and professionally during initial conversations with potential clients.
• Qualify prospects at the first stage of the sales process and identify potential business opportunities.
• Schedule qualified appointments and discovery calls for the appropriate members of the sales team.
• Maintain a confident, personable, and polished presence during phone and video interactions.
• Follow up consistently with prospects to increase engagement and meeting conversion rates.
• Track prospecting activity, responses, appointments, and results in an organized and accurate manner.
• Use outreach data and performance metrics to identify opportunities to improve prospecting effectiveness.
• Coordinate with the sales team to ensure qualified opportunities are properly communicated and handed off.
• Use internal collaboration and productivity platforms to manage outreach-related tasks and communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in medical, healthcare, diagnostics, health technology, or another healthcare-related B2B environment is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with sales activity metrics, conversion rates, appointment-setting KPIs, or similar performance indicators is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with structured lead qualification and outbound sales processes is beneficial.
• Ability to balance persistence with a professional and consultative communication style.
• Comfortable learning specialized healthcare concepts and communicating value propositions to business prospects.
• Experience collaborating with remote or distributed teams is a plus.

Requirements

• Previous experience in B2B outbound sales, business development, lead generation, appointment setting, or a similar prospecting-focused role.
• Hands-on experience developing or researching lead lists.
• Demonstrated experience with cold calling and initiating conversations with new business prospects.
• Experience qualifying leads and scheduling appointments for sales representatives or other senior sales team members.
• Strong understanding of first-stage B2B sales conversations and prospect qualification.
• High level of spoken and written English.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong professional presence on both phone and video calls.
• Confident and comfortable speaking with new prospects.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach to work with the ability to take ownership of outreach activity.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to track performance and make decisions using outreach and sales data.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
