[Hiring] APAC Commercial Lead @Stay22

Role Description

We're looking for an entrepreneurial commercial leader to establish and grow Stay22's presence across Asia. As our first commercial leader in the region, you'll define how Stay22 enters and scales across APAC, building the regional strategy, developing strategic partnerships, creating a repeatable commercial engine for long-term growth, and acting as Stay22’s representative in the region.

Reporting to our Head of Sales, you'll operate with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with leadership to shape Stay22's long-term commercial strategy in the region. From identifying priority markets to building relationships with leading travel brands, creators, publishers, and digital platforms, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Stay22's next chapter of international growth. While the primary focus of the role is on demand-side partnerships and commercial growth, you'll also provide strategic support on supply-side opportunities where they can accelerate regional success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Stay22's commercial growth strategy across APAC, identifying priority markets and sequencing regional expansion.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with travel companies, publishers, creators, events, transportation providers, and other demand-generation partners.
• Adapt Stay22's existing commercial playbooks to local market dynamics while creating new approaches where needed.
• Provide strategic support on supply-side partnerships and opportunities where they can accelerate regional growth.
• Develop a scalable commercial operating model, including pipeline generation, forecasting, and regional business planning.
• Partner closely with Sales, Supply, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Leadership teams to execute regional initiatives.
• Own regional commercial planning, budgets, and business performance while helping establish the long-term operating model for APAC.
• Travel throughout the region to strengthen partnerships, attend industry events, and represent Stay22 within the travel ecosystem.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in partnerships, proven record of sales success, business development, commercial leadership within the travel technology, affiliate, creator economy, or digital media ecosystem.
• Strong network across the APAC travel ecosystem, including OTAs, creators, publishers, tourism organizations, events, transportation, or adjacent industries.
• Experience developing multi-market commercial strategies across Asia, with an understanding of how markets differ in customer behavior, partnerships, and go-to-market approaches.
• Comfortable owning regional business performance, budgets, forecasting, and commercial planning.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on execution mindset.
• Comfortable making decisions with limited structure and operating independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the APAC region, and quarterly travel to our Montreal headquarters.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12 months, success will be measured by the foundation you build for Stay22’s long-term growth in APAC. This role is about building the region, not just hitting a short-term revenue target. By the end of year one, success should look like:

• Selecting, validating, and activating up to three priority markets.
• Signing the first anchor demand-side and flagship enterprise partnerships in the region.
• Building a qualified regional pipeline and establishing a clear, predictable, and repeatable local go-to-market motion that can scale into year two.
• Delivering the early commercial and operational foundations for scale, including contributing to key business outcomes such as $1M USD in ARR, 50+ active partners, and 3x qualified pipeline coverage against year two targets.
