[Hiring] Workforce Enablement & Education Director @Trellance LLC

YDay - Trellance LLC is hiring a remote Workforce Enablement & Education Director. 💸 Salary: unspecified 📍Location: USA

Role Description

The Workforce Enablement & Education Director leads Opmodi’s Workforce Enablement & Education Practice and is the strategic, human-centered authority credit unions turn to when they need their people—not just their systems—ready for AI. This is not a back-office training role; it is a market-facing, credibility-defining role that calls for deep AI fluency, adult-learning and change-management expertise, consulting acumen, and a genuine passion for the credit union movement.

Most of the value of AI comes from the people side—trust, workflow change, and adoption. This individual will own how Opmodi builds AI literacy, confidence, and capability across a credit union’s entire workforce, from the boardroom to the front line, so employees can both use AI and supervise it responsibly.

This is a remote position with travel up to 25% for board/executive level presentations, client engagements, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead AI enablement, education, and change management engagements for credit unions nationwide, moving workforces from awareness to confident daily use and innovation.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to credit union leadership and learning/HR functions, tailoring enablement to each institution’s size, culture, workforce, and member mission.
  • Build out and scale the Practice’s engagement packages, including a self-guided, AI-based learning experience and toolkits credit unions can deploy on their own.
  • Design role-based learning pathways for boards, the C-suite, and member-facing and back-office staff, technologists, each matched to the real AI touchpoints of that role.
  • Build hands-on content grounded in real credit union workflows, kept current through Q&A sessions, office hours, and peer learning across the membership.
  • Establish Opmodi as the AI fluency standard for the industry.
  • Develop and implement competency models tied to adoption and business outcomes, including methods such as gamification to drive adoption and continuous learning.
  • Build simulator-style training that helps turn and reinforce “someone in the loop” into genuine oversight - what to approve, when to escalate, and how to recognize automation complacency.
  • Partner with the Risk & Regulatory Practice so oversight training matches the governance frameworks credit unions are adopting.
  • Continuously evolve the curriculum along with industry and broader AI developments.
  • Develop and continuously enhance a self-service Change Management and Communication toolkit for Opmodi member credit unions.
  • Lead structured change management (e.g., Kotter’s/ADKAR/Prosci) so AI investment translates into highly engaged and sustained use across the workforce.
  • Partner with sponsors and managers to champion adoption and address job security, trust, and workflow concerns honestly and with empathy.
  • Keep pulse on employee feedback from member credit unions and develop content to enable teams to stay ahead of trends and maintain a highly engaged workforce.
  • Develop and evolve methodologies to track adoption, productivity, and ROI, and help credit unions shift capacity from routine work to higher-value, member-facing work.
  • Stay abreast of AI learning trends, platforms, and solution providers. Distribute knowledge and incorporate into internal solutions where appropriate.
  • Identify and implement value-added strategic partnerships related to development or delivery of solutions. Ensure alignment and ongoing oversight for high quality, consistent performance.
  • In collaboration with Marketing, develop and deliver best-practice and thought leadership content—frameworks, publications, briefings, and interactive Q&A.
  • Act as a visible thought leader and spokesperson in keynotes, webinars, and industry media, and establish Opmodi as the definitive authority on AI education and workforce enablement for credit unions.
  • Communicate effectively and credibly across every audience: board members, C-suite executives, HR representatives, risk/compliance officers, operations, and front-line staff.
  • Own and maintain strong, productive relationships with SHRM and other HR/L&D/Workforce industry bodies.
  • Model Opmodi’s AI-native culture, turn the team’s own use of AI into credible teaching material, and consistently represent Opmodi with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and brand alignment in all settings, internal and external.
  • Perform other duties as required in support of Opmodi’s mission and growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and execution excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field plus 10+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, enablement, change management, or management consulting, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or client-facing role. OR High School Diploma or equivalent plus 15+ years of equivalent progressive experience.
  • Master’s, MBA, or relevant certification (e.g., Prosci) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise learning, enablement, or change initiatives, ideally involving technology adoption, with measurable and lasting results.
  • Prior financial services, fintech, or credit union experience is preferred.
  • AI & Oversight Fluency: Working understanding of AI, generative AI, and agentic systems—enough to teach it clearly, separate value from hype, and make human-in-the-loop oversight teachable.
  • Learning & Change Design: Proven ability to design role-based curricula and self-guided programs, with command of structured change methodologies and adoption measurement.
  • Consulting & Advisory: Proven track record advising and delivering engagements that produced measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to scope, structure, and deliver engagements and to build repeatable frameworks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously in a dynamic, startup-paced environment.
  • Polished, engaging presenter and facilitator who distills complex concepts into clear narratives, tailoring for the audience, and builds trusted relationships at all levels.

What We’re Looking For

  • The ideal candidate is more than an AI expert. They are a natural teacher and a passionate advocate for the credit union movement and unlocking the power of human capital.
  • Pairs high executive functioning — able to understand the work and drive it forward — with the low ego to dig in and do whatever it takes to get it done.
  • Is a motivated self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and demonstrates strong judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Brings a dynamic, engaging style, able to inspire confidence in a boardroom full of credit union executives as comfortably as in a one-on-one conversation.
  • Approaches every partnership and relationship with respect, empathy, curiosity, and genuine professionalism.
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves when the mission demands it. This is a hands-on working leadership role.
  • Is comfortable operating within an AI-native organization, using and supervising AI agents in their own daily work, and modeling the oversight discipline we advise.
  • Is deeply curious about AI, fintech trends, regulation, and the evolving credit union landscape.
  • Is detail-oriented; deeply understands the importance of “polish,” defensibility, and tailoring for the audience.
  • Is coachable, resilient, and invested in their own professional development and that of the organization.
