[Hiring] Lead - Workday @Everise

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Workday Technical Consultant to own the design, build, and support of Workday integrations and technical configuration across a complex, multi-module HCM landscape. This is a hands-on engineering role with client-facing design authority: you will translate functional HR requirements into resilient, secure, well-documented technical solutions, and act as the escalation point for the most complex integration and data problems.

Beyond traditional integration work, the role carries responsibility for the emerging AI layer of the Workday ecosystem — extending the platform with agentic and AI-assisted automation, exposing Workday data safely to intelligent systems, and establishing the engineering standards that keep those solutions auditable and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration Design & Development
  • Architect and build integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Cloud Connect, Document Transformation, and Workday Orchestrate.
  • Develop against Workday Web Services, consuming SOAP APIs and Workday REST/RaaS APIs.
  • Build and optimise custom reports, including advanced, matrix, composite, and BIRT reports.
  • Own inbound and outbound data flows with third-party systems.
  • Implement transformation logic using XSLT, XPath, MVEL, and ETL routines.
• Platform Configuration & Security
  • Configure and maintain the security model.
  • Design and troubleshoot business processes across HCM functional areas.
  • Manage tenant lifecycle activities.
  • Enforce data quality and governance.
• Delivery, Support & Leadership
  • Lead technical discovery and solution design sessions.
  • Own the full SDLC.
  • Provide L3 production support.
  • Mentor consultants and analysts.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• AI & Intelligent Automation
  • Extend Workday with AI-driven automation.
  • Expose Workday data to AI systems safely.
  • Build and evaluate conversational and agentic HR workflows.
  • Apply governance to AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of Workday technical experience, with at least 3 years at a senior or lead level.
• Expert-level Workday Studio knowledge.
• Deep Workday Web Services knowledge.
• Strong Workday Report Writer skills.
• Proven integration tooling breadth.
• Workday security administration experience.
• Strong XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and SQL skills.
• Integration and API fundamentals knowledge.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.
• Active Workday Partner certification (or equivalent verified enablement) in Integrations or Extend.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Extend, Prism Analytics, Adaptive Planning, or Workday Data Cloud experience.
• Additional Workday certifications.
• Experience with iPaaS and middleware platforms.
• Global payroll or multi-country HCM rollout experience.
• Cloud and DevOps exposure.
• Familiarity with adjacent HR technology.
• Experience in a consulting, systems-integrator, or HR-tech product environment.
