Role Description

The Grant Writer & Coordinator plays a key role in developing compelling proposals that help advance Adena Health’s strategic priorities and community health initiatives. This position supports the full lifecycle of grant development:

• Identifying and vetting opportunities
• Writing and submitting proposals
• Coordinating post-award reporting

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a sharp eye for alignment, who understands how to frame programs and data in a persuasive, funder-ready way. Reporting to the Manager of Sponsored Programs, the Grant Writer & Coordinator collaborates with team members across departments to:

• Source content
• Shape project ideas into fundable concepts
• Support internal coordination with finance, program staff, and external partners

Qualifications

• Associates Degree
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Public Health, Non Profit Management or related field
• Required Certifications: De-escalation training within 6 months
• Preferred Certifications: Certified Grants Professional (GPC)
• Required Experience: Associates Degree with 3-5 years relative experience
• Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years relative experience
