Role Description

The production team is seeking an Assistant Editor - Intern who is passionate and motivated. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience for a career in Journalism and entertainment by accomplishing independent tasks.

The Assistant Editor in Chief (Remote) will:

• Assist the editor in chief with managing the release of all written material before it is published to the mainstream outlets.
• Proofread submitted articles-stories in the effort to select the most professional and entertaining content that will attract interested readers.
• Co-manage a staff of 3-5 internal writers.
• Schedule press releases.
• Maintain a strong marketing presence via social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc).

Qualifications

• Completed or pursuing a degree/certificate in journalism or media related field, or relevant experience.
• Ability to maintain a professional approach at all times.
