Role Description
Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a drive to keep production lines running smoothly? Our packaging partner in the North of England is seeking a talented Field Service Engineer with either a mechanical or electrical background to join their dynamic team.
- Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of packaging equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in packaging machinery
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Provide technical support and training to clients on proper equipment usage
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain detailed documentation
Qualifications
- Field Service Experience: Hands-on technical experience with electro-mechanical systems, ideally within the packaging industry or a similar field
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fault diagnosis, particularly with PLC logic, and experience working with machine and electrical parts, components, and assembly
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service role, preferably in the packaging industry
- Strong electrical/mechanical technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Requirements
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the region
Benefits
- £35,000 - £42,000 + bonus
- Home based door to door @ 1.5 overtime
- Vehicle provided
