[Hiring] Entry-level Staff Consultant @BerryDunn

Role Description

The Local Government Practice Group's Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Practice is seeking a Staff Consultant to join our team. Our consulting team provides a broad range of project support, helping local and state government agencies address organizational and management needs within the parks, recreation, and library sectors.

Upon joining our team, you will receive guidance and mentorship from the supervisor, consultant, or principal leading each engagement within our Local Government Practice. Your work will be closely supported through structured coaching, training, and regular feedback.

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate flexibility, curiosity, have strong analytical skills, and a desire to learn and grow professionally. This is a remote position.

Travel Expectations: Willingness to travel up to 50%

You Will:

• Follow appropriate diagnostic, data collection, fact-finding, and data analysis practices.
• Develop skill in written and verbal communications.
• Keep supervisors and others informed of status of assigned projects.
• Extend yourself beyond the demands of current assignments and responsibilities and accept new assignments.
• Participate in staff/team meetings and training and work effectively as a collaborator on multiple client projects.
• Provide ad hoc assessments and briefings in response to client requests.
• Assist with project management tasks such as tracking and reporting project progress, maintaining project document repository, and reviewing deliverables for quality assurance.
• Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders.
• Develop concise summaries, reports, and presentations of complex data for client leadership.
• Perform assigned administrative tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Assist in performing consulting engagements of all sizes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/MS Degree in related major
• Strong computer skills
• Demonstrated experience in relationship building
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Motivation to be a team member
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Relevant work experience in your field is a plus

Requirements

The base salary range targeted for this role is $68,000 - $80,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
