[Hiring] Senior Brand Copywriter @Hometap

Role Description

As our Senior Brand Copywriter, you will act as a creative and brand stakeholder across the organization and use language to communicate our brand story and drive new business. You’ll work closely with our Marketing, People Ops, and Legal teams to gather relevant information, and business requirements, collaborate and strengthen our brand voice, and bring creative solutions to market across paid, owned, and internal channels through content (blogs, emails, social media posts, video, etc.) and ads (social media ads, SEM, audio, video, etc).

What you'll do

• Creating compelling, strategic copy to reach and engage homeowners, create awareness, educate stakeholders, and generate leads.
• Developing a broad range of materials driven by superior writing ability across multiple platforms, use cases, and personas.
• Understanding and adhering to established brand guidelines and copy style guidelines; helping build and shape future iterations.
• Collaborating with other creative team members to concept ideas and deliver solutions that work holistically to tell a story.
• Creatively bringing to life various initiatives, ensuring all materials produced are consistent with our brand.
• Exploring several viable options and walking creative leaders and stakeholders through thinking to support creative decision-making.
• Owning the copy throughout the entire creative process, from design to final product.
• Collaboration and information gathering across a broad range of stakeholders including marketing, design, product, legal, and underwriting.
• Researching and becoming an expert in the consumer finance industry, specifically within the home equity lending and investment space.
• Working cross-functionally to plan, execute, and track brand marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Working in alignment with creative direction provided by the Associate Creative Director, Creative Director, or Head of Brand Marketing.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years experience, specifically with B2C copywriting environments, either agency or in-house.
• Experience collaborating closely with art direction/design counterparts.
• Experience writing copy across web, ads, product, email, video, and more.
• Experience utilizing AI across the creative process and applying human judgment to AI-generated outputs.
• Ability to use language effectively to drive business results.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of how to work from a strategic brief.
• Autonomous, ability to produce results with limited oversight.
• Willingness to internalize and incorporate feedback from creative leadership and the broader marketing team.
• Technical background not required, but ability to write technically.
• A strong portfolio to support your work - required to be considered for this position.

Salary and Benefits

• The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000, depending on your experience, skills, location, and other factors.
