Role Description

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. The position is for a Music & Lyrics Expert - French, offered as a contract role with the following details:

• Compensation: $17–$54/hour
• Location: Remote
• Duration: Up to 6 months
• Commitment: 20+ hours/week

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate AI-generated music across various genres, ensuring adherence to quality standards in both French and English.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities and evaluate creativity and originality.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Assess the naturalness of lyrics, focusing on word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: Native or near-native proficiency in French and ability to follow detailed instructions in English.
• Experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist with knowledge of the French music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
• Preferred: Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition.
• Credited or published songwriting work.
• Broad familiarity with contemporary French genres, sub-genres, and artists.
