Role Description

Our client, a rapidly growing media company based in Southern California, is seeking to hire an Editor - Web Publishing. The talented, global team works 100% remotely, collaborating with team members from various countries.

We are expanding, building, and optimizing content sites that deliver top-tier advice, reviews, and experiences. We need a talented and enthusiastic editor to prepare new content for each site punctually and consistently.

• Own and support various tasks including editing, fact-checking, and running final grammar and structure checks.
• Add/edit content to meet SEO best practices.
• Communicate with writers and ensure a consistent tone in posts.
• Edit content from at least three unique sites, with the potential for up to five.
• Work closely with the publishing editorial team to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Experienced, friendly, and organized editor in the Web Publishing industry.
• Meticulous attention to detail with an exceptional grasp of written and spoken English.
• Excellent communicator with a proactive sense of urgency.
• Passionate about content marketing and improving content quality.
• Autonomous worker with confidence in recommending new strategies.
• Experienced and knowledgeable in SEO best practices.
• Comfortable with remote work and familiar with tools like Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, and WordPress.

Requirements

• Citizen of the UK, Ireland, Canada, Belize, New Zealand, or Australia.
• Experience in affiliate content and understanding its unique needs.
