Role Description
We are looking for a Content Editor & AI Specialist who leads with sharp editorial instincts and uses AI as a force multiplier, not a shortcut. As AI tools transform content production, this role exists to ensure that everything our agency publishes across client accounts is accurate, on-brand, human, and high-quality.
You will own the editorial layer: prompting, reviewing, rewriting, refining, and elevating content that originates from AI tools, junior contributors, or internal briefs.
Email marketing experience (HubSpot, Mailchimp) is a bonus and will elevate your candidacy, but we will not hold its absence against strong editors.
Applicants must be located in East or Central Time Zone.
Duties and Responsibilities

Content Creation & AI
-
Use LLM AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to draft, accelerate, and iterate on content across formats.

Source and utilize department-specific AI tools as directed.

Leverage built-in AI components of existing content production software to improve quality, quantity, and speed of deliverables.

Write and refine prompts to generate on-brand, client-specific content across all formats.

Build and maintain a library of tested, client-specific prompts that produce consistent, on-brand outputs which result in improved engagement and overall KPIs.

Produce content across formats including social posts, blogs, ad copy, email, and landing pages.

Stay current on AI tool developments and evaluate new tools for agency adoption.

Train or advise team members on best practices for AI-assisted content creation.

Editorial & Quality Control
-
Review, rewrite, and elevate AI-generated content to ensure it meets quality and brand standards.

Ensure all content is on-brand, grammatically sound, and free of the hallmarks of unedited AI output (generic phrasing, factual drift, tonal inconsistency, AI-slop).

Maintain brand voice accuracy across multiple client accounts with varying tones and audiences.

Proofread final deliverables.

Fact-check claims and source accuracy, especially in long-form and research-driven content.

Email Marketing (Desired but Not Required)

Build and deploy email campaigns in HubSpot or Mailchimp, including copy, layout, segmentation, and send logic.

Write subject lines, preview text, and body copy optimized for open rates and click-throughs.

Monitor campaign performance and iterate based on data.
Qualifications

Exceptional editing skills with the ability to maintain consistency across all client communications.

Hands-on experience using AI tools for content creation, not just awareness of them.

Strong command of grammar, tone, and brand voice across multiple formats and tones.

Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.

Time management skills for juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.

Technical proficiency and comfort learning new tools and platforms; willingness to embrace AI-assisted copywriting with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.

SEO knowledge, including an understanding of keyword optimization and SEO best practices.

Experience with HubSpot or Mailchimp: building campaigns, writing email copy, and understanding send logic (highly preferred).

WordPress and content scheduling platform familiarity.

Collaboration skills to work well with cross-functional teams and accept constructive feedback positively.

Adaptability with flexibility in approach and ability to pivot when priorities shift.

Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems independently.

2-4 years of editing or copywriting experience in an agency or in-house marketing environment.

Portfolio demonstrating diverse writing and editing samples across multiple formats.
