We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Chinese copy editors with exceptional editorial judgment, native-level written fluency, and the ability to maintain high standards of clarity, consistency, and grammatical precision across complex written materials. This role supports an exciting collaboration with leading AI companies focused on improving advanced AI systems through high-quality Chinese-language editorial review, proofreading, and written content refinement workflows.

Selected professionals will edit and proofread Chinese-language content, improve structure and readability, enforce style guide adherence, identify inconsistencies or editorial issues, and help improve overall model quality. This opportunity is especially well-suited to detail-oriented language professionals who are comfortable working at high editorial standards and can consistently deliver precise, polished written output across high-volume content workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Chinese Copy Editing & Proofreading
  • Edit and proofread Chinese-language content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity.
  • Help ensure that outputs meet high standards for readability, precision, and linguistic quality.
  • Maintain strong editorial consistency across complex written materials.
• Editorial Quality & Style Consistency
  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology across documents.
  • Enforce Chinese style guide adherence and maintain high editorial standards.
  • Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without altering intended meaning.
• Content Review & Editorial Feedback
  • Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual or structural issues in source material.
  • Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks.
  • Provide thoughtful feedback to improve overall content quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of proven professional experience in copy editing.
• Exceptional written and grammatical command of Chinese with native proficiency.
• Demonstrated history of high-precision editorial work with minimal error rates.
• Extremely high attention to detail and the ability to catch subtle inconsistencies.
• Strong familiarity with following instructions in a professional written context.

Requirements

• Familiarity with GB/T standards, Chinese editorial standards, or equivalent frameworks.
• Strong consistency in applying style, terminology, and formatting standards across repeated tasks.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Reliable availability and consistent engagement across ongoing editorial workflows.

Contract Details
