[Hiring] Supply Chain Planning Officer @World Food Programme

Role Description

The Supply Chain Planning Officer will guide key workstreams related to country-level operational planning support. This entails:

• Supporting the Prisma control tower project and expanding the use of analytics, AI, and planning tools for WFP operations.
• Guiding the delivery of Technical Assistance projects for governments and partners.
• Contributing to SCDO’s engagement with UN80-related workstreams.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities include:

• Provide specialist advisory guidance and coordinate teams working on Prisma and Technical Assistance.
• Lead SCDO engagement with UN80 teams on Supply Chain Planning capabilities.
• Implement the Prisma CCI-funded product development plan.
• Manage SC Planning Technical Assistance projects with governments and partners.
• Oversee the development of the Supply Chain Optimization service offer.
• Prepare management briefs, operational analyses, and decision-support materials.
• Provide coaching and technical support to team members.
• Perform what-if scenario analyses for WFP operations.
• Support SCDO management as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or other relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain planning, visibility, analytics, or technical assistance.
• Experience guiding analytical teams delivering dashboards, planning tools, and decision-support products.
• Experience managing Technical Assistance or National Capacity Strengthening projects.
• Experience preparing management briefs and operational updates for senior decision-making.

• Knowledge of supply chain and operational performance management.

• Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills.
